DECISION DAY 2020

America, America, whither goest thou?

Can you not see
you have lost your way?

Do you remember the dream
the City upon the Hill
the potential
to be a great light
a beacon for the world?

Where in your imagination
is that City now?

Can you even locate that Hill?

It is hard to lift up your eyes
when you are choking
when you are struggling to breathe.

Can you regain the surface
find fresh air
resuscitate your abundant but abused goodness
revivify?

Can you recatalyze your resplendent purpose?

Have you noticed?

Death is marshalling its forces.

The time for your decision
draws near.
